Base Camp for those both starting or continuing their journey into the Fiber Arts. 

Cabled Fiber & Yarn, 125 W 1st Street, Port Angeles will host local  fiber artist and designer,  Sierra Kreun, owner and designer of All Knit Up Designs on Saturday June 8th from 3-7pm as part of Second Saturday.

 

All Knit Up Designs is a knitwear design company that designs accessory patterns for social knitting that are perfect for fiber events, knit night, and everyday wearable art. All Knit Up Designs focuses on designing with independently dyed yarn from small businesses, such as those available at Cabled Fiber & Yarn and other local yarn shops. Along with exemplary patterns, All Knit Up Designs produces bold, bright, and happy project bags in four different sizes that are perfect for any project and any fiber artists.  Bags & patterns will be available for Sale at the store on June 8th starting at 11am.

 

Sierra is based out of Port Angeles, Washington where she works from her home studio. You can find Sierra knitting, reading, or having a long chat with fiber friends all around the Olympic Peninsula. Clallam Mosaic All In Arts Studio

Partnering with neuro diverse artists, the All In Arts Studio supports and nurtures community artists so they can flourish in their creative practice. We will be offering working studio space, mentorship, classes and directed guidance.

Our artisan marketplace will offer exhibition and selling opportunities for both our studio artists as well as collaborating with artists across the North Olympic Peninsula.

For the June 8 Artwalk, we are hosting local author Christine Motokane. With her second book, Christine has written a true life story of a young adult woman with Autism trying to find good support people who are committed to help her. Aging out of the school system, young adults are left alone with very little support. Isolation is common among adults with developmental disabilities.

Light refreshments will be served. Books and limited art will be available for purchase.

Kids can participate in a coloring contest and contribute their ideas for what fun shapes Natalie should hide in our interactive mural next. Natalie will also have a booth set up with artwork for purchase, inspired by the latest mural.

It's the 9th Annual Brush Off! Come watch the action unfold, or be a part of the action. Anyone who wants to participate can drop in on Saturday, June 8th starting at 5 p.m. To put their name in a hat. 6 artists will be selected at random, and each will be given 15 minutes to paint a 2.5' x 4' panel on a theme chosen by the audience. Tipping will be encouraged, and the artist of the painting deemed to be the best by popular vote will win all the $.
